Disney Dreaming

A quick internet search for Disney, Disney vacations, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or Disney cruises will leave you overwhelmed by the wealth of information available online.  A trip to the library will reveal dozens of books dedicated to all things Disney.

After years of perusing websites, subscribing to mail lists, poring over books, listening to podcasts, and reading reviews, this is what we’ve found:  there’s a heck of a lot more written about creative ways to save money than creative ways to spend it.

So, this blog is for the dreamers.  It doesn’t matter what your dream may be.  It may be a small wish: splurging on a veranda stateroom rather than the “inside” category; perhaps something more grand:  planning a once-in-lifetime gathering of your extended family at a deluxe resort.  It makes no difference if that dream is in your immediate future or shimmering far off in the distance.  It’s fun to consider the possibilities.

We may never stay in the Steeplechase Suite at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn.  We might never, ever arrange for our group to enjoy a private meet-and-greet with Mickey Mouse.  But, that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy reading about it; that doesn’t mean we don’t like to dream!

Browse through our featured topics for some new perspectives on the Disney experience:

  • Hidden Mickeys:  We reveal some of our favorites and encourage you to share your own.
  • Table for One:   As travel agents, we’re often asked about solo travel to Walt Disney World.  Since our own visits include those with family, with friends, and frequent trips alone (research, you understand) we’re able to share many personal experiences with prospective single travelers.  Friendly, safe, convenient, endlessly entertaining; Disney destinations are an ideal choice for a party of one, but many people are made uncomfortable by the prospect of dining alone.  Happily, few places are more welcoming to the solitary diner.
  • Best Seat in the House:  Need a place to rest your weary feet?  Searching for a restful retreat?  We invite you to pull up a seat!
  • fav5:  Our short lists of top picks.
  • Disney Photography:  Great photos are no accident – be inspired.
