Meet the Photographers – Joe Penniston
What can we say about Joe Penniston that hasn’t already been said by his many admirers? Aficionado of the classic Disney subject and master of the processing arts, he takes the photos we all wish were ours. His Castle, his Carousel, his Main Street have a purity of execution few of us can achieve. This fantasy portrait of our favorite mice is a case in point. Visit our Destinations page for what may be the single most stunning capture of “Partners” you will find. If you visit the photographers’ own photo collections through our Photographers page, you’ll recognize many of the images that grace our website and see that his work is featured on a number of our pages. Joe, we thank you!

Hello Chris: We agree that Joe’s photos are spectacular. He is not affiliated with this website beyond his photographic contributions. We suggest you contact him by clicking on one of his photos which will bring you to his flickr page, and sending him mail through that site. Best of luck with your own photography!
Dear Mr. Penniston,
Let me say that I love all of your pictures-especially the Disneyworld ones. I have noticed that you use a Nikon d40 as I am and I am trying to figure it out (I have read the book and bought the video and I realize it takes lots of practice). I am interested in fireworks, Spectromagic and some pictures with motion in them–all things you have definatly mastered. Any tips would be appreciated– have the standard lens and I am purchasing the 55 200 vr–With Fireworks I understand the bulb setting, shutting of the flash, using a tripod and setting it to 100 speedand using the remote. I own Photoshop CS2 and Paintshop Pro7 to fix pictures but I guess any tips to make my Disney pictures any better would be apprciated. Thanks for your time and if you get a chance my email is pcmic@cox.net
Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving
Chris
